Dutch DJ and producer Mike Williams has joined forces with Norwegian artist Jonas Aden on new single ‘I Hope You Know’, out 29th January via Universal Music.
Announcing itself with fluttering guitar chords, ‘I Hope You Know’ is an emotion-drenched electronic dance ballad, combining soaring vocals, subtle piano keys and the most euphoric of drops. It follows ‘Face Up To The Sun’, a similarly collaborative single with Justin Mylo and Sara Sangfelt, released at the tail-end of last year.
Williams explains: “It was so much fun working with Jonas, he’s a funny and smart guy and an amazing talented producer. We’ve been both playing this track in our sets for a long time and finally it’s here! I hope you know we’re very excited for this one.”
Aden adds: “This record has been a long time coming as Mike and I have been friends for many years and always supported each other so I’m glad we finally made it happen. The idea for I Hope You Know was started over two years ago when Mike heard a basic idea I’d started and added his own ideas to it. He flipped it into the big, energetic record we have now. Really hoping we’ll be able to play it at some festivals later this year.”
Mike Williams’ breakthrough came in 2017 with hit ‘Feel Good’, a collab with none other than Felix Jaehn. He then released club bangers ‘Lullaby’ with R3HAB, ‘The Beat’ and ‘Wait Another Day’ with Mesto, also making it into the DJ Mag ‘Top 100’ on two occasions. On the gig front, he is a regular at internationally renowned festivals such as ULTRA, Tomorrowland, Parookaville and Mysteryland.
Born in Oslo, Jonas Aden has dropped tracks on some of the most recognisable labels in EDM, including Spinnin’ Records, Hexagon, STMPD RCRDS, Musical Freedom and Future House Music.
‘I Hope You Know’ is an emotional EDM jam with serious crossover appeal.
