{"id":2967,"date":"2022-07-27T17:39:27","date_gmt":"2022-07-27T15:39:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.prysmradio.com\/en\/?p=2967"},"modified":"2022-07-27T17:39:27","modified_gmt":"2022-07-27T15:39:27","slug":"cristoph-launches-his-own-imprint-with-new-release","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.prysmradio.com\/en\/2022\/07\/cristoph-launches-his-own-imprint-with-new-release\/","title":{"rendered":"Cristoph launches his own imprint with a new release"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Cristoph\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; The British Producer, DJ, born and bred in the North-East city of Newcastle continues his pursuit of progressive dance anthems by proudly launching his new label \u201c<strong>Consequence of Society<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The name &#8220;<strong>Consequence of Society&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0may be familiar to many fans as title of his 2015 EP that helped cement his production talents and breakthrough in a year that went on to be an important one for the emerging DJ, <strong>Eric Prydz<\/strong> prot\u00e9g\u00e9, and one of progressive house music\u2019s most glowing new artists.<\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"border-radius: 12px;\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/track\/5CAcrDVbEhc64A5sHqO5Md?utm_source=generator\" width=\"100%\" height=\"380\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cTurning Away\u201d featuring Ross Quinn marks release number one with all the intricately powerful hallmarks of an artist at the forefront of a genre. Layered and euphoric, Ross Quinn\u2019s vocal rewards Cristoph\u2019s inaugural label release with an impressive feeling of exuberance and melancholy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTurning Away\u201d with its deep and driving roots serves as both a statement of intent and an emotionally adoring lineage to early 2000\u2019s dancefloor memories that have gone on to define his sound, with consistency and conviction.<\/p>\n<p>Cristoph has released music on some of the most prestigious labels in the progressive house scene, including <strong>Bedrock<\/strong>, <strong>Last Night On Earth<\/strong>, <strong>Truesoul<\/strong>, <strong>Knee Deep in Sound<\/strong>, <strong>Yoshitoshi<\/strong>, and <strong>Selador<\/strong>. More recently, he collaborated with <strong>Franky Wah<\/strong> to release \u2018World You See\u2019 on the legendary Pryda Presents label, a single that has nearly 4 million Spotify streams.<\/p>\n<p>His production tone is undeniably rich and multi-layered; Cristoph delivers another arena filling production, executed with the same grandiosity that has not only awarded him with worldwide club support, but continues his global adventure and radio-friendly ambitions.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>It\u2019s always been a career goal to run my own label, it was just of a question of \u2018when\u2019 rather than anything else &#8211; Cristoph<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>With the long await and potentially long overdue launch of\u00a0<strong>Consequence of Society<\/strong>\u00a0as a label for initially only his own productions, we can be sure to expect a signature sound, one that gets even more unique the further it grows and expands.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cDuring the pandemic I started to write a wider variety of music across the house and techno spectrum to try and keep as active as possible and broaden exactly what I do, so more of my own music could fit in to the longer, extended sets I play. Once lockdown lifted, I found myself with an abundance of tracks and loving the fact I had total artistic freedom. Because of this, the team and I decided that now would be a good time to launch my own platform for the records as I would be completely in charge of what I released, when I released and how often I released. The name of the label has been an idea I\u2019ve used for a fair few years now and stems from the whole concept of the music I love and play being a consequence of the society I grew up in\u201d &#8211;<\/em>\u00a0Cristoph<\/p>\n<p>His unique style has led to the creation of some stunning tunes over the years; 2018 saw him collaborate with Camelphat to release the global dance music hit, \u2018Breathe\u2019. With videos of the track sending clubbers into overdrive from Ibiza and beyond, \u2018Breathe\u2019 arrived on Eric Prydz\u2019 \u2018Pryda Presents\u2019 label in November 2018.
